From the first episode of Sonic Mania Adventures, people are already making reaction videos of the scene where Sonic is about to help Eggman, but changes his mind when he picks up a terminal he dropped.Jerkass Woobie: Metal Sonic, in Episode 6, due to the fact he's depressed to the point he spends months laying on the ground because his failure affected him that badly, making him surprisingly pitiable.This is especially humorous with Sonic the Hedgehog (IDW) showing his modern counterpart ends up saving the robot as well after the climax of The Battle for Angel Island Arc. At the end of the Episode 6, Sonic suddenly shows up to express his confusion on why Amy would save Metal Sonic by returning him back to Eggman despite being a Killer Robot.This was also a subject in the first episode of Sonic Mania Adventures, released a couple of days later. A Running Gag in the flash animation Sonic Oddshow Mania is Spikes of Doom springing below characters from out of nowhere.Bonus points for Eggman taking Metal Sonic back after originally just leaving him out to rust, though that's slightly downplayed by the fact he ends up using Metal as a foot rest. Regardless, she proceeds to take him back to Doctor Eggman, despite the fact they are both enemies of her and Sonic. Heartwarming Moments: In the Christmas special, Amy Rose goes out of her way to help Metal Sonic, despite quite clearly and understandably being afraid of him if her reactions are anything to go by.An illustration by Tyson Hesse perfectly illustrates the Flicky's supposed plight. It's Played for Laughs (with the Flicky only being mildly dazed and punting Metal Sonic in the head after being freed), but it is shown that several months passed between the end of Episode 5 and when Amy discovers Metal Sonic, and the Flicky managed to survive presumably with very little food or water to go by. Fridge Horror: At the beginning of Episode 6, a Flicky becomes trapped in Metal Sonic's chest cavity when he lands on the poor bird, and is only freed when Amy helps Metal Sonic stand up.Fight Scene Failure: The otherwise-awesome animation of the the series dips in quality during fight scenes, where the animators rely on lots of still-frames and have very little actual movement in stark contrast to how the characters are portrayed in every other scene.Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: Knuckles' actions in Episode 5 are this for Sonic and co., barging in out of nowhere to punch Metal Sonic and retrieve the Master Emerald.Awesome Art: The series uses the same animation style as Mania's opening, and it is glorious.Eggman and Heavy King in Egg Reverie Zone and the episode taking place right after his return from his Modern self's world. Ass Pull: In the first episode of Sonic Mania Adventures, Sonic pulls a Chaos Emerald from out of nowhere despite losing them all after the final battle with Dr.
